Patrick began his career in retail, advancing from store manager to commercial director for a retail chain. During this time, he was introduced to the world of payment and loyalty systems, which inspired his transition into the payments industry, leaving retail behind. After working for an investment firm and spearheading numerous international sales projects for Visa Greencard, Patrick co-founded XXImo from the ground up with a colleague.
Launched in 2010, XXImo became the first mobility card in the Netherlands and was partially sold to the French company Sodexo in 2016. Patrick served as CEO of XXImo until the end of 2023, overseeing its expansion into five countries and securing major industry clients. His recent key projects include obtaining a payment institution license from the Dutch Central Bank, achieving Visa Europe principal membership, migrating to a cloud-native platform with AWS, and securing contracts with global partners like ING, WEX, and ARVAL. Patrick is married to Caroline, and they have two adult children. |
